Political and community leaders will participate in the 2025 Australian High Speed Rail Conference in a panel discussion Building Sustainable Community Support for High Speed Rail, led by Master of Ceremonies Tracey Holmes.
The panelists, who will play important roles in gaining government and community support for Australia's largest ever public infrastructure investment, include:
Sharon Claydon, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Federal Labor Member for Newcastle
John Alexander, former Federal Liberal MP for Bennelong and Chair of Parliamentary Committee on Infrastructure, Transport and Cities
Carol Berry MP, Federal Labor Member for Whitlam
Judy Hannan MP, NSW Independent Member for Wollondilly
Nuatali Nelms, former Lord Mayor of Newcastle
The panel discussion will provide an opportunity to demonstrate your support for high speed rail, identify advocacy strategies and ask questions of key decision-makers about the next steps in this transformational project.
